A 24 year old Israeli man was seriously wounded in a terror stabbing attack in the area of Al-Auja, an Arab village located on Route 90 near Jericho, the IDF said on Sunday morning August 23 2026. According to Israeli media, the victim is an ultra-Orthodox (haredi) Jew from Betar Illit.
He was stabbed from behind after stopping to shop at stores near Al-Auja.The town straddles a major highway traversing the Jordan Valley used by both Israelis and Palestinians. The Palestinian Arab terrorist then fled the scene, prompting an IDF manhunt. Security blockades have been established in the area.
Several IDF units, including military aircraft and soldiers from the Duvdevan undercover counter-terror unit, Nitzan 636 Unit, and Jordan Valley Division, have been deployed to aid the search in the hunt for the terrorist, who fled the scene.
United Hatzalah EMT Yonatan Avrahami reported: “According to bystanders, the young man was stabbed after stopping to make a purchase at a store near the village of Al Auja. Together with an IDF intensive care ambulance team, I provided him with initial medical treatment at the scene”.
The terror attack near Jericho follows on from a terror attack on August 20 2026. A terrorist armed with a knife attempted to stab an IDF soldier in the Jenin area, the IDF spokesperson announced on August 20 2026.
Soldiers responded by firing at the terrorist, killing him. No IDF injuries were reported.
On July 25 2026 an Israeli man aged 30 was murdered and two others seriously injured in a lynching and shooting terror attack carried out near Havat Gilad in Samaria.
According to the reports, a number of Palestinian Arabs gathered around a group of veteran Israeli hikers, prompting the deployment of IDF troops and additional security forces to the scene. Several of the terrorists attacked the hikers, stealing the weapon of a local community security coordinator who had arrived at the scene, opened fire, and wounded several Israelis.
Israel’s National Ambulance & Emergency service Magen David Adom (MDA) and IDF paramedics treated the victims at the scene, and two were evacuated by air to a hospital for further treatment.
Ichilov Hospital has reported that they received two victims from the terror attack, who were evacuated by helicopter to the hospital’s emergency department. One of the victims is in critical condition and hospital staff are fighting for his life in the trauma room, while the second victim is in serious condition.
On June 7 2026 an Israeli man was killed and five seriously wounded in a terror attack at a gas station (petrol station) near the town of Kokhav Yair in central Israel. Police said they neutralized the Palestinian Arab terrorist after locating a vehicle that was involved in the shooting.
On June 6 2026 a terror attack too place at the Gush Etzion junction. A Palestinian Arab rammed a car into Israeli man at the Efrat Junction. The injured man was rushed to hospital for emergency treatment.
The terror attack follows on from a vehicular ramming terror attack at Gush Etzion junction just 7 days earlier when a Palestinian Arab terrorist hit several pedestrians. Paramedics provided emergency medical treatment to three wounded, including two who were in serious condition. The terrorist, who drove his car into a bus stop at the Gush Etzion Junction, was shot dead by a soldier during the attack, the army said, adding that troops were enforcing road closures in the area.
The victims of the terror attack were a 17-year-old girl, who was in serious condition, and a 15-year-old girl, who was also seriously injured, according to the Magen David Adom (MDA) emergency services. An MDA medic told reporters at the scene that the very seriously wounded girl suffered injuries to her lower body, with the other sustaining bad facial injuries, and that both were rushed to hospital for emergency treatment.
On May 22 2026 two Israeli citizens in their 40’s were found murdered after a terror attack. Ruslan and Olga Prihodko, from Rishon Lezion, were found shot dead in their car near Mishmar Ayalon in the Judean foothills. The Arab terrorist was subsequently arrested and taken into custody.
The Palestinian Arab terrorist who murdered Ruslan and Olga Prihodko was the brother of an Arab terrorist who carried out a deadly ramming attack in 2024 at a bus stop in Ramat Hasharon. That terror attack killed one person and left around 40 others seriously injured. The terrorist was neutralized at the scene.
On April 29, 2026, two Palestinian terrorists attacked IDF forces operating in the town of Silwad in the Ramallah area and wounded two soldiers. The forces shot and killed one and detained the other.
On April 15, 2026, a Palestinian terrorist armed with a knife arrived at the Emek Doron farm near Revava in Samaria and attempted to stab those present. An armed civilian was fortunately able to shoot and wound him.
